I was wondering if you know why with certian sites you must enter www in front or it will say the site doesn't exist.

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

An example of what the submitter of the above question means is - if you put in the address bar happy-online.co.uk or www.happy-online.co.uk you will be taken to the Happy Online Website - however on some websites if you do not put the www in you are not taken to the website.

You should however always be taken to the website - the www is in fact superfluous and domains/websites should work with out the www.

If you are recieving error messages or cant access the websites then this is normally due to how the hosting of the website is set up. If you are a regular visitor to the site and this bothers you then you could drop the webmaster an email, if however this is happening to your site speak to your hosting company.
