Web Portals tend to be Websites that try to offer all services to the visitors, therefore Web Portals would typically have access to News Headlines, Search Service, Email, Games, Weather Reports, Forums, Shopping, Auctions - the list can be exhaustive.

By far the biggest Website that is often referred to as a Web Portal is Yahoo.
