Web Directories list Websites - normally by category. Web Directories help Web users find the websites that interest them or they would like to visit.

Most Web Directories have a search facility where you can enter search terms which are then matched with the sites listed in the Directory and these sites are presented to the Web Directory user. Alternatively, instead of performing a search the web user can select a category, the Directory would then list sites that fall under this category and if applicable sub categories.
