How can I increase the text size in Internet Explorer ?

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

Many Internet users struggle with reading small text on a computer screen. There is however an easy way to control the size of text in Internet Explorer.

If you select the view drop down menu at the top of the Internet Explorer web browser followed by the text size option a small sub menu will appear where you have the option to change the text size.

Although this will no doubt improve the access of information for a vast majority of internet users who struggle reading their computer screen it should be noted that a lot of websites are not designed for larger text sizes and therefore may look different from the site designers plans.

In addition some websites are designed so that the text is not affected by the browsers settings. For an example if you increase the text size in your browser when displaying this web page you will notice that the text does not increase in size but if you navigate to some other sites you may see a change in the text size.
