What would I do to shorten my address bar ?

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

You can easily re-size and therefore shorten your toolbars - although it is fiddly !

Firstly, you will need to ensure that the lock toolbars is turned off. To do this select the view drop down menu from the top of the browser window followed by Toolbars - a side menu will appear, you need to ensure that there is no tick against the "Lock the Toolbars" heading, if there is a tick just select that heading and the tick will be removed.

When the "Lock the Toolbars" heading has been turned off you will see some handles placed on the toolbar. (The handles look like a thin line - see the below image to the left hand side you will see a thin line.)

If you place your mouse over the line on your toolbars the mouse pointer will turn to a cross hair - if you then left click and hold the mouse button down you can drag and re-size the toolbar. (Note that if the toolbar is the only one on the line then you can not re-size it.)
