My security and advanced tabs have gone missing in my internet options. I can't retrieve them, even after I reset them to 0 using hkey_ have any suggestions please ?

Firstly, the most likely explanation for various Internet Option Tabs going missing is that you may have Spyware on your PC - It is therefore worthwhile looking for some software that detects, deletes and blocks Spyware - by doing a search on Google for Spyware you will find more information along with tools that are designed to counteract Spyware.

Another option is to repair Internet Explorer. If you have a downloaded version of Internet Explorer 6 (if your PC came with Internet Explorer 6 this may not work) go to Start, Settings, Control Panel. Then select the Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel Window. In the Add/Remove programs window Internet Explorer should be listed with an option to Change/Remove. If you select this Change/Remove option a window will appear where you can repair Internet Explorer.
