This question was posted in response to the following previously answered question, (for visitors who have come accross this page to change the red crosses so that you can see the images please visit this question first.)

When I am on the internet there are no pictures just a box with the red cross in the corner, I can view the pictures when i right click and view picture. Is there any way I can solve this problem?

Ok, for visitors who have tried the above and are still having problems then try the following:-

- Your browser may not support some types of Cookies, change your browser settings to accept Cookies and see if this makes a difference. Obviously if you do not want to allow Cookies ensure that you change the setting back again.

- If you have any software that blocks adverts then images may also get blocked. (Note some Anti-Virus software Blocks Adverts). Expirement with the settings for this Ad-Blocking software.

The ad-blocking software normally works by making amendments/changes to your Host file. The Host file should be located under C:\Windows\Host. You can open this file using Notepad and you should see several lines of text starting with a # which basically details what the file contains. Under this text will probably be the line 127.0.0.1 localhost.

If any Ad-Blocking software or site restrictions have been put in place you will probably see entries below the line 127.0.0.1 localhost. You can make changes to this Host file(such as deleting all lines under 127.0.0.1 localhost) but you should make a back-up should any mistake be made. If you do make changes you do so at your own risk.
