How do I get Internet Explorer to auto fill the address line with the most recent address typed (as I'm typing a recently visted URL) instead of showing a drop-down list of recent addresses to choose from?

Without typing at all, if you select the drop down arrow next to your address bar you will be presented with the last 20 addresses that you have visited. This display will show the most recent visited address at the top.

However, I think your question means that when you start typing the address eg:- www.y, and you have visited both www.yahoo.com and www.yourdomain.com but www.yourdomain.com was visited more recently then you would be presented with www.yourdomain.com for auto-complete first.

The auto-complete function however presents www.yahoo.com first as this is first in the alphabet. As far as I know there is not the facility to change the auto-complete settings so that the most recently visited address are presented first when typing.
