When I open yahoo.com or any website, some sites pop up. How can I prevent these ?

Although Yahoo does sometimes have Pop-Up adverts the original question above has been trimmed and the user was experiencing Pop-Up adverts that Yahoo does not to our knowledge have.

Pop-up adverts are a common bi-product of spyware software and if you are finding that you are recieving pop-up adverts regularly on sites that dont normally have this type of advertising you might have spyware.

I therefore suggest that you do a search on your favorite search engine for spyware - the search results will have programs that stop/remove most forms of spyware.

Another option is to get a Pop-up blocker - The Google Toolbar has a Pop-up blocker as one of its features and can be downloaded from the following address:-
