I get this message: Problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed or functioning properly. You state that 'Most of the time you can OK this message and continue viewing the site without problems' but I find that some links on the page concerned do not work. Can you help with this problem?

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

The most likely reason for this happening is that the links on the web page are programmed in a language your browser does not understand (this may be likely if you have an old web browser) - or your browser is set up not to run the programming language.

Of the above two senarios it is more likely that your browser security settings are set so that the programming language used for the links is not able to run.

If you wish to change your security settings to see if this is the reason select the Tools menu at the top of the Internet Explorer window followed by Internet Options. In the Internet Options window select the security tab followed by the "Custom Level" button. A further window will appear, if you scroll down to the "Scripting" heading and then locate the "Active Scripting" sub heading you should see the options to Disable, Enable and Prompt. If this setting is set to Disable you will probably find that some links or web pages do not work properly - if you wish to change this setting select the setting you require and OK this change.
