I will quickly talk you through this process, however for full
details of How to use Outlook then the best guide is available
within the software - simply select the Help Drop Down Menu
from the Top of the Outlook Window followed by Content and Index
- a new window should appear which talks you through getting
started with Outlook.
Ok, so a quick guide on how to recieve and send emails.
Recieving Emails is just normally a case of logging onto Outlook
and going to your Inbox - if you are connected to the Internet
then you should recieve any emails that have been sent to your
email address (your email address will probably be one your
Internet Service Provider has given you - when you sign up with
your ISP this email address would normally become your default
email address when using Outlook.)
In your Inbox you should see emails sent to you in the Upper
Right Pane, you can open these email addresses by either clicking
on them twice - this will open a new window where you can read
the message, or if you click on the email once you should be
able to read the message in the Bottom Right Pane.
You can send emails by clicking on the Create Mail/New Email
Icon - which is normally at the top left of your Outlook Window.
By Clicking on this Icon a New Window will appear. In the To:
Section enter the email address of the person who you wish to
mail, in the CC: Section enter any email addresses that you
wish to send a copy of the mail to, in the Subject: Section
enter the Subject of your Mail. In the Main Section type your
message. When you have finished your mail select the Send Option.
(If you are connected to the Internet your Email will then be
sent.)
If you are replying to messages you will have a reply option
in the window that appears when you double click on your mail.
By clicking on this reply option you will be able to type your
message and then send your mail. (When replying you normally
will not have to enter the email address or the subject line
as these will be automatically completed.)
