How can I change my homepage with Netscape 6.2 ?

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

Most of the Happy Online tutorial sections cover Microsoft Internet Explorer, however the operations of other browsers such as Netscape and Opera can vary.

In Netscape if you wish to change your home page select the Edit menu at the top of the browser. If you then select the preferences option from the drop down menu a preferences window will open.

The preferences window includes the home page address section. Here you can delete the home page currently selected and type over with the home page of your choosing. The Choose file option to the right of the home page address enables you to browse through files on your computer to select as a home page while the use current page option allows you to set the page that you are viewing on the web at that time as your home page.

Once you have made your selection click OK.
