After I click the start icon and go to favorites I see a link that says "all the sites you've ever visited are stored on your computer" but every time I click this i get a strange wedsite that has nothing to do with this topic. How do I access this link?

General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

My theory on this is that a website/program has automatically installed itself as one of your favorites without your permission (or with your unknown permission.)

This is a semi-common practice of some website owners, in addittion they will also tend to label the favorite with enticing words for you to click - even if they are unrelated to the actual content of the website.

With reference to the favorite being called "all the sites you've visited are stored on your computer" - I would imagine that this is labeled in this manner in the hope that it will persaude you to purchase software that wipes internet tracks from your hard drive.
