General Disclaimer - Happy Online would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work on some computers and may result in errors - you should only make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any consequences that may arise.

If you are downloading something in this manner you really need to make a note of the file name or file type while it is downloading - you should then be able to locate the file easier.

Another option if you wish to locate downloaded files in your Temporary Internet Files is to search by last accessed date, if you have only recently downloaded a file it should be one of your last accessed items. (To do this ensure that you are viewing the details of the file (select the view drop down menu from the Temporary Interent Files window and ensure the details option is selected) and then order them by last accessed date).

However, by far the best way to download informations, files etc that you wish to retrieve is by saving the file to a different location - this can be done by right clicking on the file and selecting Save Target As (or Save Picture As if an image) - you are then able to specify where you would like the file saved - this makes for easy retrieval at a later time.
