What are the disadvantages of the Internet for Businesses ?

Well, as Happy Online is solely an Internet Business we can see many advantages but not that many disadvantages, however here is a few for you to consider:-

- Even now the Internet is largely not understood by the majority of higher and middle management and stereotypical views that the Internet is a geeks playground still exist. (You never know one day the Internet might catch on !)

- Websites and e-commerce requires specialist staff, not just to understand how a website/e-commerce sites work, but also how to market websites and to increase revenue. Again, some areas of middle and higher management don't appreciate that these are specialist roles.

- Any business that is thinking of starting a website or e-commerce site is likely to already have competition that have established brand awareness on the Internet. It can take a lot of work and possibly money to catch up with companies that have a head start on the Internet.

- For more traditional businesses some of their customer base will demand a personal service. It is hard to make an Internet service personal to each customer.
