Why do I receive a message that says problems with this web
page might prevent it from being displayed properly ?
General Disclaimer - Happy Online
would like to remind all visitors that they are responsible
for their own computer settings - some suggestions may not work
on some computers and may result in errors - you should only
make changes to your computer if you are comfortable with any
consequences that may arise. When surfing some web pages you might be presented with a small
window that states problems with this web page might prevent
it from being displayed or functioning properly.
This message is normally displayed if there are programming
errors with the page.
If your web browser can not understand the programming language
that the programmer has used then this window may appear - in
addition you may see a small yellow triangle in the bottom left
hand corner of your browser.
Most of the time you can OK this message and continue viewing
the site without problems - it is however worth noting that
the web browser is not behaving or displaying the site as the
programmer intended.
Whether the problem is to do with your web browser or a problem
for the programmers is a matter for discussion. Unfortunately
not all web browser and not all version of the browsers can
understand the same programming languages and a website may
work correctly on some web browsers but not on others.
