I am using the newest version of explorer and I go to internet options and I delete history and clear all cookies, but for some reason when I type a letter into the address bar the sites I have visited in the past still show up. How do I get rid of these sites permanently, i tried re -installing windows and it is still there. HELP?!??!!???

Ok - we have looked at various options on how to clear address bar history (or to replace addresses that you do not want to appear in your history) So first please review the following.

Stop Auto-Complete (This should stop all addresses appearing)

Delete Addresses using the Explorer Bar (Reports of Limited Success)

Amend the addresses that appear by using REGEDIT. (Note Extreme Caution Required when amending the Registry)

If none of the above work then have a look for some software that clears site history - if you do a search on a search engine you should be able to find some software that offers a free trial.
