I would like to change my IP address number for discretional purposes, can I do this? I am on Windows 2000 and using a home computer.

Your IP address is issued to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) - the only way you can change it as far as Happy Online is aware is to contact your ISP to see if they will change your IP address. Alternatively you can change your ISP.

Other options open to you are:-

- if you wish to use the Internet anonymously look for software that hides your IP address.

- if your IP has been denied access to a website, forum, game site etc. Try contacting the relevant site adminstrator and explain your situation.
