More about Aberdeen for travellers and
visitors

North Sea coast of Scotland and much of its prosperity
is due to the oil industry.
Aberdeen is a centre and base for a large
number of workers on the Oil Rigs in the North Sea off
the Scottish Coast.

Out
and About in and around Aberdeen
Aswell as the Oil Industry Aberdeen port is home to one
of the UK largest Fish Markets and many bargains can be
obtained fresh from the mornings catch.
Parts remain of the medieval city and this has become
more detached from the current centre as the activity
has moved closer to the Harbour.
The River Dee flows out to sea at Aberdeen, further upstream
can be found Drum Castle and the Royal Estate of Balmoral.
Aberdeen is situated East of the Scottish Highlands where
you can explore lochs, whisky distilleries and dramatic
landscapes.
