Shop Description: A variation on the Heriz rugs: this Serapi design also originates from the area of Heriz in North Western Iran. This style is admired for its spaciousness of design and effective use of a limited palette of colour. This rug is handmade in India: remaining faithful to the original designs: colours and weaving techniques of antique pieces. Characteristically not finely woven: it has properties such as durability and delicacy. It uses a range of earth tones: enlivened by a careful detailing in ivory.
