Shop Description: Delightful white Burgundy made by Joseph Drouhin. This rare and very special treat of a wine comes from a traditionally red wine area. The vineyards date as far back as 1550 when the slopes were used for bee keeping. When the vineyards were replanted in the late 19th century: it was only with Pinot Noir for red wine. Some more recently un-earthed ancient documents showed that it had previously been famous for white so the house of Drouhin now have an equal area of Chardonnay.
